Patrick, is the current Owner and Operations Managing Member of Sound Fighter® Systems, LLC and Service Steel Distributors, LLC (dba Service Steel and Pipe). Sound Fighter® Systems is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of absorptive noise barrier wall systems. Their success has come from focusing on supplying a niche market in the noise abatement industry. Patrick began his employment at Sound Fighters® in 1996 at the ground level when he was hired as Office Manager. Patrick spent his first four years improving company operations and turning losses into profits. He purchased the company with his partner, Rand H. Falbaum, in 2001 and has been successful with profitable growth each year. In 2007, Sound Fighters® was named Business of the Year by the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. Patrick became the Managing Partner for Service Steel and Pipe in Shreveport in 2022. It is the largest Steel Service Center in Northwest Louisiana. Patrick and Rand started SFS Partners, LLC in 2012 as a Private Equity Investment Company in which Patrick helps manage as well. Patrick also has been extensively involved in several start-up ventures and helping them establish themselves in the business community and become a vital leader in their local industry.

Patrick found out firsthand how difficult it was to obtain a graduate degree in Business (MBA) from Centenary College while being a husband, father, and business owner. He successfully maintained above a 3.6 GPA at Centenary while taking night classes to obtain his MBA in 2005. Patrick earned his undergraduate degree in Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1995. While attending Texas Christian University his first two years of college, Patrick was a proud member of Delta Tau Delta, Epsilon Beta Chapter.

Since he began his business career over 30 years ago, he has become involved with numerous organizations within the community. Patrick received the 40 under 40 Award from the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce in 2009. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce in 2019. He also served as President of the following Boards: Committee of One Hundred (2015), Manufactures Managers Council (2004), Shreveport Club (2010) and was the founding President of Shreveport Bossier Business Alliance for Higher Education (2012). Other Boards that he has served on include LSU Health Sciences Foundation, Strategic Action Council, Shreveport Symphony, The Alliance for Education and the Louisiana Key Academy. Through his involvement with the Committee of 100, he has served on the Strategic Action Council Board, RECC Board, and Caddo Parish Schools Business Roundtable. In 2013, Patrick was appointed by Governor Jindal to serve as a Commissioner on the Caddo Levee District Board where he currently serves as President of that Board of Commissioners.

He was re-appointed in 2016 by Governor Edwards to serve an additional term on that Commission. He was appointed to the Shreveport Workforce Investment Board by the Mayor of Shreveport, where he served over five four-year terms. He also serves as President of the Red River Syndicate stock investment club established in 1953, which is one of the oldest clubs of this nature in Shreveport. He has been involved with St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral serving an elected three-year vestry position twice and two years on the Executive Committee and was a member of the St. Mark’s Cathedral School Board. He also served on the Diocesan Council of Western Louisiana for the Episcopal Church. He is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Shreveport and has served on the Rotary Foundation Committee since 2000. Patrick is also a Member of the North Louisiana Economic Partnership. Some other industry-related organizations that he is actively involved with are: North Shreveport Business Association, Bossier City Chamber of Commerce, Acoustical Society of America, Society of Plastic Engineers, Transportation Research Board, Metals Service Centers Institute and the North American Steel Alliance (NASA).

Patrick has had a love for agriculture his entire life. His grandfather Austin Glynn Lee graduated from LSU with a degree in Agriculture in the 1920’s and has always been an inspiration for him. He instilled the love of the outdoors and agriculture in Patrick for a lifetime. In fact, this was Patrick’s motivation to attend LSU to acquire a degree in Agribusiness and Ag Economics. After graduating from LSU, Patrick has been involved with farming and agriculture in several different capacities. Growing up having a farm in his family, Patrick has been involved with animals and poultry, row crop and pecan farming since he was young. He lives on his family farm which now grows corn, cotton and pecans. He is very involved with the pecan industry and has plans to expand his orchards beyond 1,000 trees in the next five years. He is also a supporter of the LSU College of Agriculture and LSU Ag Center. He currently serves on the LSU College of Agriculture Alumni Board and was named Alumni of the Year by the LSU College of Agriculture in 2016. He is a loyal supporter and recruiter to the Agriculture Industry by encouraging young people to enter Ag degrees at LSU.

Patrick lives on his farm in Dixie, Louisiana North of Shreveport with his wife Lee. His daughter, Carol Ann, recently graduated top of her class with a Masters degree in Elementary Education from LSU in Baton Rouge. His son Patrick, Jr., also a graduate from LSU, is the current Operations Manager at Service Steel and Pipe. He enjoys the outdoors immensely and especially enjoys living in the country where he has constant peace and quiet.

Rand H. Falbaum was born in Shreveport, LA June 4, 1958 and is now resides at his ranch in Coleman County, TX <south of Abilene> with his offices in Shreveport, LA. He graduated from Captain Shreve High School in 1976. Mr. Falbaum received a BBA degree in Marketing from Texas A+M University in 1980 and a MBA degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982. Mr. Falbaum received his CPA license in 1984.

Mr. Falbaum began his career in banking 1982 with First National Bank of Dallas <later known as InterFirst Bank, the largest bank in Texas at the time>. He held several Banking Officer positions in Real Estate, Special Assets, and Venture Capital until his return home to Shreveport in 1985 to move into the Presidency of Gordon, Inc., a then, small family manufacturer of commercial ceiling/building products. Today Gordon operates from a 335,000 sf facility in Bossier City, LA with 200 employees and sales in excess of $70mm per year. Recent projects include the 9/11 Museum in Manhattan, all 5 terminals at DFW Airport, and Transbay, the new transportation hub/center in downtown San Francisco. Over the last 40 years Mr. Falbaum has overseen the growth and expansion of his firm to include cleanroom building products, acoustical panels, data center ceilings and correctional ceilings…some of the growth occurred from the acquisition of companies located in Syracuse, NY, New Orleans, LA, and Nashua, NH. Mr. Falbaum created and ESOP in 2010 and completed the sale of the Company to his employees in 2014. Mr. Falbaum continues as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Gordon, Inc. see ”Gordon-inc.com”.

Mr. Falbaum has expanded his business interests into the ownership, management and mentoring of a number of local and regional businesses some of which are listed here.

Mr. Falbaum has been a real estate developer, investor, and operator with a number of real estate interests including numerous industrial, apartments, office, self-storage, retail, restaurant and micro-hospital properties.

Mr. Falbaum is co-owner Service Steel & Pipe, a regional distributor of steel products based in Shreveport...see “svcsteel.com” He is also co-owner of Sound Fighter Systems, a manufacturer of highway sound barriers sold throughout the U.S. Sound Fighter Systems was the recipient of the Shreveport Chamber of “Small Business of the year” in 2006….see “soundfighter.com” He is co-owner of On-Site Secure Shredding, a paper shredding company in Shreveport/Bossier, LA…see “0SS-shred.com”. Recently he co-founded RISE Community Hospital, an addiction rehab facility in Prairieville, LA.

Mr. Falbaum was the recipient of the “Businessman of the Year” award by the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce in 2006 and he was a 2007 Laureate of the Junior Achievement of North Louisiana Business Hall of Fame awarded to the top businessmen of the region. Mr. Falbaum was the youngest recipient ever of this award. Mr. Falbaum was also awarded “Samaritan of the Year” in 2011 by the Samaritan Center of Shreveport/Bossier; and the “Outstanding Philanthropist” in 2011 by the Association of Fundraising Professionals North Louisiana Chapter.

Mr. Falbaum serves on several private boards including the Board of Argent Trust, a Trust Company managing over $180 Billion in client assets, Sealy Legacy Partners, a $600 million private industrial real estate fund. He is a past Chairman of the Louisiana Chapter of the Young Presidents Association <YPO> and served on the Executive Committee of the Western Area Board of YPO.

Mr. Falbaum has been very involved with the community, recently retiring as Chairman of the Board of the Shreveport Bossier Community Foundation. He is the Past Chairman of Sci-Port Discovery Center, Past Chairman of the Greater Bossier Economic Development Foundation, Past Chairman of the Biomedical Research Foundation, Past Vice-Chairman of the LSU Health Sciences Foundation, Past Chairman of the Co-habitat of Shreveport/Bossier and Past Chairman of the Shreveport-Bossier Manufacturers Managers Council. He has also served on the boards the Willis Knighton Health System, as $2 Billion Hospital system which is the largest in the State of Louisiana, Committee of 100, the Robinson Film Center, and the business advisory board for Centenary College. He has also served as a member of the Louisiana State Committee of 100 and the Public Affairs Research Council and is a Trust Advisor for the Zita Trust to benefit Holy Angels Residential Facility for the mentally handicapped.

Married to his high school sweetheart Susan Adams for almost 45 years; Susan received her degree in Pediatric Nursing from Baylor University, they have two children, Erin, who graduated from Emory University in Atlanta and has a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from Georgia State University, and is a Mental Health Therapist and lives with her husband Frank Hinek in Atlanta with two grandsons, Owen and Arthur; and Evan, who graduated from The University of Alabama Birmingham and is a freelance Multimedia Designer and resides in Fredericksburg, TX with his wife Erica. Mr. Falbaum is also a licensed pilot with Flight Instructor, Commercial and Airline Transport Pilot ratings and travels. by piloting his own plane.

lan joined McElroy Metal full-time in 1999 and for many years worked in several departments and divisions with the company to gain an understanding of various aspects of McElroy Metal.

In 2007, lan became president and became the 3rd generation leader of McElroy Metal and soon began to implement his vision for the company’s future. Always in search of opportunities to grow and expand, McElroy has acquired several complementary companies under lan’s leadership and in 2012 entered into a Joint Venture to Manufacture Insulated Metal Panels (IMP’s) under the Green Span Profiles trade name.

With a desire to improve the customer experience and overall efficiency, lan has led the company’s journey into developing a Lean/Continuous Improvement culture that still exists today.

Michael, past President and Owner of Red River Sanitors LLC, brought stellar leadership to the commercial cleaning and maintenance industry across Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas. With a business degree from LSU and a deep-rooted involvement in BSCAI since 1983, Mike earned the prestigious CBSE designation, symbolizing excellence in the building service industry. He sold his successful business in 2022 and now enjoys golf, fishing, and woodworking.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Patrick is the current Operations Manager at Service Steel & Pipe. He oversees the general day- to-day operations and is intimately involved with overall sales, purchasing, and inventory management. Patrick supports and is constantly working alongside the Service Steel & Pipe team to maximize efficiencies. He also focuses on customer relations and ensures that they are taken care of. Maintaining and building relationships, safety, teamwork, service, and execution are some of the main focuses he has.

Before becoming Operations Manager, Patrick was the interim purchasing manager for three months where he was responsible for purchasing all inbound metal and managing Service Steel & Pipe’s inventory.

Prior to this, Patrick spent time in every department at Service Steel & Pipe. He started out handling, receiving, and processing material in the warehouse and yard. After spending several months getting familiar with the material handling process, Patrick spent time with every delivery driver doing almost all the different routes and deliveries Service Steel & Pipe offers. He then spent months in the logistics, accounting, & purchasing department. Once familiar with the material and services offered, he spent a few months in both inside and outside sales. Patrick processed orders, quoted customers, called on new and existing customers, started building relationships, and helped grow sales.

Before Patrick became part of the Service Steel & Pipe team, Patrick was a loan officer at Louisiana Land Bank, ACA. In his time in agricultural lending, he did credit underwriting, processed loan applications, and managed his portfolio of land and agricultural loans.

Patrick is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Agricultural Business. At LSU, he graduated on the dean’s list, was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, and played many different intramural sports.

Outside of Patrick’s working career, he enjoys being outside and active. Patrick spends time working on the farm he grew up on, fishing in the saltwater marshes of Southeast Louisiana, hunting in the woods, power lifting, and is a proud LSU and Saints football fan. Patrick gives back to the community through being active in his church.
